SEGA Shop, Capcom Shop. Tets goes to these as well.

On the same day that I went to the Transformers meets Japan popup shop, I decided to hit up the newly opened SEGA shop, as it also happens to be in Shibuya, hiding within the Parco building, which was just around the corner.

Incidentally, on the same floor was the also relatively newly opened Nintendo shop, a Capcom shop and a Godzilla shop.

Tourists were everywhere!

The SEGA shop was kind of small, but there was a fair bit to buy, but it was all rather expensive.  Also some of the pricing made little sense.  For reference the Website:

SEGA Store

The entry area had this sign on it.  In the bottom where the black dot is, a video of Sonic and pals was projected.  It was pretty cool, but impossible to film, because of frame rates and also hard to photograph.

In the store floor they had the SEGA logo embedded.

What are the good like?

Not bad.  They had a selection of SEGA's most popular IPs at the moment, but the prices were all over the place.  That 3rd Derpy looking knuckles plush was about 1400 yen.

Meanwhile this Knuckles acrylic stand was 1800 Yen!

As a result, I didn't buy anything.  There was nothing there that was all that exciting and recently Japan seems to have an extreeeeeeme hard-on for shitty acrylic stands, that are all over priced.  They're bloody everywhere.

So I trundled my disappointed ass over to the Capcom store.  Which essentially consists of a couple of shelves and found some Okami stuff.  Well, that's a sale.  Although it does look a bit like a cat.

With that in the bag, I walked around the Godzilla store, and the Nintendo store.  Neither were all that interesting.  The ninty store was of course going gang busters, but all there tat was pretty tat looking.

And I left.

Downstairs was a POP store or something that had a huge queue the entire time I was there.  What a strange world.

Then I left and hit a Yamada Denki!  Which contained a couple of surprises.

#1

Shitty soft porn games for the switch.  I wonder how these are done.  Steam Heart's is a crappy SHMUP from the PC Engine that was converted to the Saturn and costs a small fortune.  VG Advanced Variable Geo is a crappy street fighter clone with an all girl selection and strongly sexual themes.  What odd games to re-release....

#2

Good Smile Racing Miku Tomika.  It's been sold out in the past three shops I went to.

#3

Transformers locked in the glass case.  Proof the hobby is getting expensive...

That's it for Yamada Denki, but I have another surprise.  A very skinny shop had a video display showing Blokees figures on the top.

Well well well.

So I went to have a look.  Sorry, no photos inside.  It was 2 floors of stuff, which was fine and I saw some Blokees set up on the second floor, so went for a look.

There was a staff guy chilling out there, and I started shooting the breeze with him asking about this and that.  He informed me that they had more blokees on the third floor, but it wasn't ready yet, but he would take me up to have a look if I liked.

Of course I did like, so up we went, and they had some decent stuff up there.  They had the Transformers Defender wave there and Minions, Sesame street, some set based on the Legend of Son Goku/Monkey king/Monkey Magic (i.e Saiyuki).  Initially I wasn't going to get anything, but since the guy had escorted me to the top, I started feeling guilty and ended up buying a Count Von Count Sesame street one. Ha haha. It was either that or Burt & Ernie (can't leave one without the other).

Their little Website

By the looks of things all the stock was imported from Chine (packaging ya know), so I'm not sure if they are an official Blokees distributor or just some guys importing.  Doesn't matter.  It's the first time I've seen Blokeess with any foothold in Japan.

And so with the Transformers Pop-up shop on the same day, my entire haul comes up to this:

Which I think is a nicely reserved selection considering I went to 5 different place.  Nice restraint me!
