Here we are with my wonderful translation of the New Legends Manga Vol 6 For NL Galvatron. This one kind of got me excited for Liege Maximo of all things, as it portrays him as a more organic-y, slimy sort of Transformer, by emphasising the tubes in his design.
This episode is all about feelings. If you want to play a drinking game, have a shot every time a character gets tearful eyes: hint, Gigastorm has them in the very first panel.
Enjoy. Read it left to right.
So, how many shots did you take? And of what did you drink? Remember folks, don't drink and drive!
Now I can get on to doing the one of my beloved boy. Cosmos, it's time to shine baby!
______________
Random ass amusing (? ) notes I thought of:
- Page 1:The first page states this as Vol 5 (first half) in Japanese, but I corrected to vol 6 (since the second half accurately states vol 6.)
- Page 2:Gigastorm makes Galvatron grow with angolmois energy. Yet Gigastorm doesn't get smaller. What are the properties of Angolmois?
- Page 3:After Liege is cut in half by Galvatron, he shrinks back to normal size, he used the angolmis energy to fight, so he must have expelled it. Yet, Gigastorm did not appear to change.
- Page 4: In the last vol5, Gigastorm makes Terastrom, so Giga is Tera's father, over brother I guess... Is that how Galvatron made Gigastorm...? (creepy if you think about it)
- Page 4 , confirms that Dark Amber can shut the door on Green Lio Convoy. Poor fellow.
- you can also see Untite having a few thoughts about the looks of Galvatron in his page.
- Page 6 has Planetary Nemesis Star Convoy appear next to Junkion. Since Junkion is made of bits of scrap, surely this would lead to gravitational disturbances on Junkion? (lol, physics)
- Also, in Gigastorm's comic, it is stated that Nemesis Star Convoy is attracted to the Angolmois on Junkion. Shockwave made Nemesis come to the G1 reality, and with Planet Seibatron in tow is able to trace energy to Junkion.
- Page 7 has an odd gap in the story. Lio asks about the old Nemsis ship, but Galvatron goes into a story about his control, will the old Nemesis ship play a part as well as this new one later on?
- It would seem that Battleship Nemesis has become a fully fledged autonomous character now, since she has total control over her Battleship body.
- Page 8: We got double Nemesis action, although you could say it's triple Nemesis, since there is: Battleship Nemesis, Artificial Planet Nemesis and Nemesis Star Convoy. It has become a running gag to have the Dream Double (duo) ~~ going on in this manga.
- I also love that Lawbhammer is piloting the Nemesis with a piratey old skool Ship's Wheel.
- Page 9: We have Galva and Lio blasting Nemesis Star Convoy with various Angolmois attacks. Galvatron is using angolmois directly, whereas Lio Uses the Energon Matrix (which was earlier established to be "good" angolmois. So why isn't Nemesis able to absorb that Unicron Energy?
- Page 10; Triple Z point here, which is where Unicron was destroyed. Generations Selects comic started at the Triple Z point, and Star Convoy. Whether these are connected is not yet known (however the Seacons/ God Neptune are using their Gens selects builds).
- Page 12 gives us a nice look at Untite from before he was changed.
- Page 15: First doubts of Dark Amber, and poor Untite...
- Page 17: Noisemaze returns for some reason, carrying his new musics. In a way approriate since he was a subordinate to Soundwave in Galaxy Force.
- Page 18: Maybe Dark Amber isn't as cold hearted as he makes out to be.
- Page 19: I hope Galvatron is a fan of Tim Burton movies.
- Gigastorm is desperate man, Although Dark Amber did promise to find Galvatron's spark...
- Page 21: I gotta admit, those Galva Lio Convoy colours look pretty ace! A purpley GITD version would be AWESOME!
- So, this begs the question, as to how Angolmois energy can be used and its properties right? Or can Galvatron and Lio Convoy (and Gigastorm) just manipulate it as needed. If that's the case, the energy would eventually be depleted somehow, but that doesn't seem to happen.(the answer is of course, as a MacGuffin.).
- Also, I do wish they'd just call it Angolmois and drop the "energy" section. Also, why the hell use such an annoying spelling as well.
