New Legends Manga Translation Vol 08 - The Secret of Delta Magnus Part 1

Volume 08 Of the New Legends Manga is here, and I have translated it for your viewing pleasure.  This on has a nice look at Delta Magnus, a newish character, who is a rather nice recolour, or pre-colour of Ultra Magnus.  I will admit, that personally I quite like this colouring and am pretty pleased he has made his way into his own character.  The Missing Link version that came out earlier in the year is a very nice example of how good this guy looks, and the inclusion of Powerdrive was also pretty nice.

Powerdrive is in this manga as well, shedding a bit more light on the power of Delta Magnus!

Also added into this set is the headmaster Agent Arcee.  Who seems to stem from the Masterpiece agent Arcee and not the missing link prototype of Arcee.

This is part one, and I was going to wait for part 2 before publishing, but since it ends on a rather sexy cliff-hanger, I think the timing works well like this.

Anyhoo, that's enough preamble.  Read on for the manga and have a look for my random notes and ramblings afterwards.

New Legends Manga Translation Vol 07 Cosmos & Soundwave

Here we are with Issue/Vol/Chapter 7 of the New Legends Manga.  This one was released for Cosmos and Soundwave.    Read it left to right, share and enjoy (and say thanks ;)

Notes at the end.

New Emperor Of Destruction : Galvatron, New Legends Vol 6 Manga Translation

Here we are with my wonderful translation of the New Legends Manga Vol 6 For NL Galvatron.  This one kind of got me excited for Liege Maximo of all things, as it portrays him as a more organic-y, slimy sort of Transformer, by emphasising the tubes in his design.

This episode is all about feelings.  If you want to play a drinking game, have a shot every time a character gets tearful eyes: hint, Gigastorm has them in the very first panel.

Enjoy.  Read it left to right.

The Ambition of Liege Maximo : Legends Manga Vol 5 Translation Complete.

Woot, here I am with another.   Oddly while this one focuses on Gigastorm, the title is all about Liege Maximo.  As usual read from left to right with this one.

Oh, if you wish to mirror these on another site (that may, or may not generate income through ads), a link to my humble blog page would be much appreciated instead of stealing all the clicks.  I believe is standard webtiquette.

Thanks

New Legends Manga Translation Vol 4 - Nemesis Star Convoy - Complete!

The Evil God's Star.

Oh baby.  I was most excited about this for a couple of reasons.  The first being, I love Star Convoy and the Nemesis Colouration looks fantastic.  Did they miss an opportunity by calling him "Black Star Convoy"?  The jury is out.  The second was, er... I can't remember now, but it probably has something to do with getting Galaxy Force more love.

Oddly it took me a while to work out what the title meant.  Like obviously Evil God can only be Unicron, but the star thing took me a while.  While the title used the kanji for star, which can be translated into Star, planet, world for example, my sudden epiphany was that the "Star" that belongs to the evil god is AKCHUALLY Star Convoy.  That makes perfect logical sense.

ON TOP OF THAT, I initially thought that Nemesis Star Convoy was an evolved form of Nemesis Convoy. However this is not that case.

There are also a while bunch of clever use things going on, like Nemesis Convoy's trailer spawning billions of Scourge (Nemesis Prime) clones and all sorts of other clever stuff.

Read on for more.

New Legends Manga translation VOl 3 -G2 Stunticons complete!

FINALLY!

I finished this mammoth task.  Wow, this was a big one for a couple of reasons. 24 pages are a lot of pages.  Editing the effects was a difficult task.

However I feel I did learn a lot on this and I really enjoyed doing it.  This volume is a lot of fun and the Stunticons are very cute in this.  It is essentially a story of bonds being broken and then ...

REUNITED (will make sense as you read it).

*I took down the old post as I went back and fixed up earlier pages term and story consistency.

Read this baby left to right! usual random ass comments at the end.

Green Lio Convoy, New Legends Manga Translation

Welp, it's started again!  Here I am with the continuation of the Legends manga, which interestingly started back with the release of Dark Amber Leo Prime, a masterpiece figure of all things.  This one took some time, as I had to research a fair bit of BWII, then timey wimey and it's timing at release was a busy time for me.

However, here we go.

Legends Manga Translation: Issue 7

OMG!  I can't believe it!  Another one.  out of the blue,  At this rate I'll have them finished sometime next century

Velocitron Part 3 MangaTranslation

Aw yeah, with the release of preorders (lol) for Shadowstrip here in Japan, we have now another issue of the two page advert, er manga of the Velocitron thing.  Continuing our adventures with Cosmos and the incredibly unstable political system that Velocitron (the speed planet) seems to exist with.

Just two weeks have passed since Override took the crown, and here we are witnessing another race for the top seat of Velocitron.  Strange.

Part 1

Part 2

And the Japanese.  The original was stored on a PDF, and they are a PITA to slap up on blogger so PNG it is:

Some things to note:

• The font for the non-main players is a bit messy for the Japanese, and last time I used an English font that looked pretty similar, however, I did see some complaints about its readability, so taking in a rare moment of kindness, I changed the font to one that is easier to read (however loses a bit of the similarity to the Japanese comic.).
• Shadowstrip has the power of Shadows in his hand.  How exactly this is a power as such is unclear.  I guess he means he can see well in the dark?  Or he has gained the power to shoot out lights.
• Black Convoy/Scourge seems to have a problem with the lights going out in the tunnel, despite his name being BLACK Convoy...
• Crasher manages to take the lead, flip around to face everyone and THEN cause a chasm to form.  A nice touch to her ability to make the ground rumble.  She must be fast at driving backwards too!
• Clampdown speaks very casual Kansai-ben (dialect - not too sure if there is formal kansai ben TBH...).
• I really hope that Road Hauler manages to make Clampdown his friend!
• Galaxy Shuttle combines with his back pack base thing (AKA, the Luggage) to form "Victory Mode" which has it spread open for extra wing-age.  I wonder if I can set that up with Astrotrain?
• Mirror Dia... What is this, Dia Cinders is under arrest at the end of the race, but two weeks after the first one? This makes little sense.

• On the final page there is a beautiful butt load of bots to look at:

I spied Armada Convoy in the background there, but he won't be part of Velocitron races.  But it's nice to see his sexy arse.  Such a great design!

If you have a REAL close look at where the Stunticons are (above Leo Prime's head) you can see a silhouette of Dragstrip.  Cardboard cutout perhaps?

It's also cool to see the Junkions there together.  Having just recently nabbed Scraphook, I've been loving him long time and looks forward to the other, although it seems that the manga makes Axelgrease look a little bit more femme than her toy... Although Skullgrin's usual shy manner doesn't seem to mind...

So there we go. Hope you enjoyed this ;)

Transformers Legends Special Edition #6 manga translation!

Here I am with another translation of the TF Legends online manga by Mr. Sakamoto.  Yes, I am still working on these.  This one is set just after the meet up they had for the TF4 movie event.

Enjoy

Velocitron Part 2 Manga Translation.

So coming hot off the heels or wheels of the first one, here is another couple of pages of

HAWT RACING ACTION!!

My beautiful little boy Cosmos badly narrating a race with his gun flag thing.  I tried really hard to fit some Daytona USA phrases in there, but they just didn't work.  Also, it's no real surprise who wins... so...   Although, thiking about it, does that mean Override has a higher speed stat than Blurr?  Hrm...

(Part one here)

And for posterities sake, the Japanese Versions:

Velocitron Manga Translation part 1

Takaratomy whipped out a little manga to ingratiate the characters of the Velocitron 500 "series" to a Japanese audience(Purely my own speculation), and being the kind hearted fellow I am (also speculation)  and it not being as bat shit crazy as the usual Manga (ahem, I'm looking at you Selects and Legends....) I promptly set about translating it.

And because the Japanese ones usually disappear after a while, here they are too.

Road Rocket's a chick now hey?  Cute to see Devy peering over the top, wonder how they feel about Roadhauler?
I'd be more inclined to buy the Legacy DiaBurnout if it came with a little person figure, like the Masterpiece version does.

End of G1 Universe Manga translation part 2

Aaand here I am with the second part.  What a cute little story of excitement and redemption and friendship.

Part 1 Here

Random notes and what not at the end.

End of G1 Universe Manga translation!

Hellloooo ladies and gentlethings, Mr. Sakamoto has been hard at work drawing a new Manga with a bunch of pals and I have been hard at work trying to make it look like an English version of the same comic books.

Well, I have finished and thus I will share it here.  Initially uploaded on Twitter, I messed it up a bit because I despise social networking on the internet.  I have a bunch of accounts I barely touch.  So naturally I made a complete and utter balls up of trying to upload the comic as a "thread" on the twatters.

Random Notes and Ramblings at the end.

Legends NightBird Sidestory Manga Translation

Due partly (wholly) because of the Masterpiece referencing this comic, I got off my butt and translated it.  Everyone's favourite made in Japan oversized ninja robot can be enjoyed easily by all.

This comic comes after the one included in the Legends release. Which you can read here:

Legends Nightbird Comic is here

Enjoy and thanks.

Generations Selects Final Final Manga Translation.

So here we are with the final, actually really final one of these comics for the Generations Selects toys.  Man if you asked me almost 2 years ago to translate and edit (checks file) 126 pages of Transformers comic, I probably would've laughed mightily.   And yet here we are.  I can hardly believe I did it.

But here we are. 2 years, 126 pages and a whole lot more knowledge than I had before.  I really need to thank Sakamoto.  His making of these comics has really helped me.  Now if I could only make some money off this somehow...

In this exciting episode:

• Broken chests become a toy gimmick!
• Flaking chrome become a toy gimmick!
• Dimension hopping capes!
• and battery draining jokes!

Volcanicus Manga Final part 1 English Translation!

I have no Mouth(or do I?) but I must NOM

So here we are with the "final" section of the Generations Selects comic series.  Well, part one of the final, so not final just yet.  But eeh, that's just being pedantic.    In this glorious episode

• Primus loses his marbles.
• A slight game related pun rears it's head!
• Seriously, just how does Purple Convoy keep munching on those Gary-gary-formers.  Is he an emo cannibal?  To top it off, he has no mouth, although in one panel the lower section of his face is obscured and you can't see the mask line, so maybe it's retractable?  these are the questions that need answering!

What a doozy it is as well.  18 pages of fun insanity.  It makes me wonder though, is this the start of the end of Generations Selects, or just this comic series?  I hope just the comic series, as I am still awaiting Armada Prime that they showed of a couple of years ago (and it looked fantastic!!).  Although I must admit I enjoy these comics immensely, so really I hope they continue in some form.

Legends Bonus Edition Translation - Transformers Movie Celebration!

So after a bit of burnout on the Selects Manga, I took a break.

And then, then there was a little hole in my soul and I thought, darn, I need to fill it with some

 LEGENDS MANGA CRAZINESS

and so here we are!

Huzzah, Yay for me and the world in general.

Transformers Generations Selects Comics CBR + Musings on translating

Firs exciting piece of news,  I have made all the Selects comics into one handy-dandy CBR file for your reading pleasure.  Having a fair bit of the story now, I went back to the earlier issues and made some changes for continuity's sake and it should make a bit more sense.  But just a bit.

Link after the jump.

Updated with complete comic 17 May

Abominus & the Terrorcons Manga translation PART 2!

Abominus and the Terrorcons Vol 2.  This was a fun read and I enjoyed it a lot.  I hope you do too!  My usual random thoughts, ramblings and theories to confuse are underneath. If you feel so inclined.

Part one here

Oh read them left to right.
