Due partly (wholly) because of the Masterpiece referencing this comic, I got off my butt and translated it.  Everyone's favourite made in Japan oversized ninja robot can be enjoyed easily by all.

Legends Issue 4 English Translation

Hello ladies and gents, here I have a translation of issue 4 on the online legends Manga.  Rattrap is slaving away as an office worker, learning more about life in the corporate structure. Or something. Whatever. Please read and enjoy  (on the right column) Transformation Gap and (on the left) Gender Gap.

Rattrap and the Junioration Gap 1,2. Legends comic Translation

Here we go with what was listed as #3 on the website, it’s Rattrap in young people’s gap (hence the Junioration Gap pun) in opposition to the Generation gap that he had with the older Rhinox in the last issue.  Essentially, Generation gap is when an older person doesn’t understand you.  Junioration Gap is when a younger person doesn’t understand you.  Easy.  Although technically, they are BOTH generation gaps…. eeh who cares, this is more fun.

In another respect, this issue is a clever counter to the previous one.  Before it was the conflict of old skool TF fans with Beast Wars fans, now its a conflict between one who considers themselves a “true fan” and one who just joined recently (specifically, Silverbolt and his comment about liking TFs a week ago because he saw the movie.) using Silverbolt as the metaphor for the conflict.

Now, onto the comic!  Again, this one reads straight down.

Legends TF Webcomic #2, Rattrap and the Generation Gap

This little one didn't take me too long and is kind of stupidly fun.  Please read it in columns, straight down as there are two stories for Rattrap's first day at work.  I used the Japanese names in this for Rattrap, as Rhinox ends up comparing the Japanese names to the English names and making fun of them.

Which I can understand... For Japanese people, Optimus Prime is 8 syllables while in English it's 4, as well as having many consonants together, which Japanese doesn't have.  The same issue goes for Decepticons and Autobots (although not to the same extent).

Legends Rattrap LG01 Comic Translation

After what seems a long long time, here is the first comic that was included with the first designated Legends toy, Rattrap.   Or Rattle as his Japanese pals like to call him.  Luckily in  English for all you lovely lads and lasses.

LG43 Trypticon toy comic Translation!

Hi guys n gals, Finally I’ve completed this epic piece of work.  What started out as fun ended up being a bit of a rush as I got into it.  The release of the second part to his prologue the day before I received the toy was a shock, but finally, I have here a translation of Trypticon’s in pack manga!

Massive thanks go to Big Angry Trev for providing me with a scan!  Get on over to his site for some interesting takes and views on the world.  He’s a great bloke!  He has done a comparison between the Hasbro and TT version of Trypticon/Dynazowra, so get there and have a look.  I’m not gonna spoil it for ya!

   If I get a chance, I’ll work on getting a cleaner scan (amd I have) , but for now, this will do nicely!  Enjoy!  Oh as a bonus, I’ve done the bio as well. 

LG43 Dinozaurer Trypticon Web Comic Translation Number 2

Well, here is a tricky one.  It is listed as issue 44 on TakaraTomy's website, but its another web comic for #43 of the Legends Line.  It's the comic for Trypticon.    Webcomic #1 is here.
For the sake of history, first is the original Japanese comic, followed by my English Arrow help version and then a clean English version.

Beast Machines Longhorn.

So it’s 40 degrees Celsius today so what does one with a plastic crack addiction do to relieve the oppressive feeling of heat?  One grabs a tasty beverage, heads outside to a convenient balcony that happens to be within reach of a cooling breeze and takes some pictures of toys of course.

Today I have my newly acquire Longhorn from the curious Beast Machines line.  I kind of like and hate the Beast Machines line at the same time.  Generally the Maximals are rather ugly.  The Vehicons are also rather ugly, but less so and it’s in this ugliness that I garner some enjoyment.
