Caught up with some chums, had a chat and a trade, went home and went out with the better half.  Fantastic weather.  Brilliant day!

 

Also managed to find a He-man figure that I wanted for one reason, never knew the character, but with an awesome gimmick like he has, it doesn’t matter!

LEGO men invasion

I was walking around the shop, trying to amuse myself while the better half was browsing for some new clothes and these individual packs of LEGO men things captured my interest.  They are random packs of assorted LEGO men.  So as it was a 20% off sale and they were down from the usual price of $5 to $3.90 or so, I thought for a laugh I would grab one. 

 

So I did.

Buzz Lightyear! AGAIN!

Poppy seeds メー！

The better half and I went out for a lovely bike ride on a day off.  We decided it was appropriate for some hotdog lunch to be made.  However I was out of buns, so I zipped to the shops to get some.  The only ones left were ones with poppy seeds on them.

 

I would really like to slap the dick head who thought that putting poppy seeds on top of bread was a good idea.  It’s not!  They just make a mess all over the place.  I really hate them, well on my bread anyway.

Black Gold Saw, another cool figma

I was quite excited by this figure when I first saw it, the other figure from Black Rock Shooter have been pretty damn cool and I really like the aesthetics of these characters as well.  Although lacking colour, the black and white of all of them looks funky and I reckon they would look really good when displayed together.  The next one out is Strength, who comes with a couple of Popeye forearms to the extreeeeeme!  For now though, let’s have a look at Black Gold Saw (BGS).

Great Gaming Moments… Shadow Of the Colossus

I whipped out my PS2 recently to check on something in Okami, and while I had it set up, I thought I would play this game.  A mate dropped by and I showed him this game and he was mightily impressed.  As he played, I saw him go through the same feelings that I had. 

Hence this game makes into my great gaming moments section.

Ratchet’s Travels. A nice day out and about!

I managed to have a Sunday off work, and so Ratchet, the better half and I went down to local Autumn Festival which was a quick bus ride away.  The weather was great! Not too hot, not cold and as it was by the river, there was a pleasant breeze.

Zoweee! It’s Generations Warpath!!!!

OK, I managed to get some shots of this guy and I have to say, I like it!  He is chunky and is a great homage to The original Warpath.  I tells ya, this is what the Generations/Henkei/Classics Universe should be about baby!!

Hmm, had some awesome bowl noodles the other night.  Although pictured is the bowl of Tanuki Udon, I had Soba instead.  Yummmm!

Lateset arrivals

Got my figma Black Gold Saw from Black Rock shooter and a Strike Witches Miyafuji.

 

Tomb Raider Collection also came out, so I got that too.

Judging by how much I have liked Black Rock Shooter and Dead Master I suspect I will have to do a gallery and review soon.

 

Also in the works, my Generations Warpath!  Stay tuned.  I feel I have been lax in the toy pictures side of things, I have been busy and generally it takes about 4-5 days for each gallery, from playing with the figure to form an opinion, then a day or so for the photos, time editing them and making sure they are fine and then an hour or two, sometimes three or more on the blog post itself.

Touhou figma Aya Shameimaru

Curse my weakness for the likes of Japanese mythological creatures.  I had seen picture of this figma and managed to avoid it, but then a friend confirmed my suspicions that this character was based off of the legend of the Japanese Tengu (Wikipedia have a good section to find out about these guys).  That sent me on a hunt to find it before it became too damn rare (and by rare I mean pricey).  Obviously I succeeded otherwise this gallery and review of Aya Shameimaru wouldn’t be happening.
